A few words about the Villages.
Malaxa is a small village on an elevated plateau on the feet of the White Mountains of Crete. It is located south of the village (and the harbor) of Souda, at a distance of 8 km from Chania city. Malaxa consists of a number of scattered houses, some of which have been masterfully renovated, and some villas that were built during recent years. What makes Malaxa stand out is its magnificent view over Souda bay. The village is also known for its traditional taverns with Cretan dishes.
Aptera is a very unique village, situated on an elevated location on the south part of Souda Bay, overlooking the whole bay and the Apokoronas plains. It is obvious that this strategic location is linked with a very rich history. First of all, the name “Aptera”, meaning “without wings” in ancient Greek, has an interesting story behind it. On this spot, in ancient times, there used to be a center for the musical arts with a big temple dedicated to the Muses.
According to ancient Greek mythology, the Sirens challenged the Muses to a music competition in the temple, but in the end the Sirens lost, and they were so sad, that their feathers fell off into Souda Bay, leaving them wingless, or “aptera”.

The mountain bike tour with Apostolis was absolutely fantastic! ????♀️ The tour was perfectly organized, and Apostolis was an amazing guide. I had such a wonderful day and got to see and experience so many beautiful places. Everything was just perfect from start to finish. Ik ben erg tevreden over tour-point. Goede communicatie, je wordt snel geholpen. Heb twee dagen een e-mtb gehuurd, wordt bezorgd op je adres. Ben ook erg tevreden dat ze mij routes hebben gegeven. Zelfs onderweg heb ik nog geappt en gaf hij nog tips om mijn dag te verbeteren.
We (three Dutch guys on vacation) rented three road bikes for a day. They were great! Also was the communication was clear and fast and they were very flexible with our plans. I would definitely recommend renting bikes here :)
Incredible customer service! He brought me new cleats when I needed them, provided a replacement bike, and even came to pick me up when the battery for my electronic shifting died. He truly went above and beyond to help. Highly recommended!
We had a very pleasant experience on our e-bike tour. We got lucky and got basically a private tour . The tour guide was kind and did give us information and details on the landmarks that we passed. Even tho he was a bit sarcastic, so don't worry, he just messing around a bit. You can pretty much pick any tour route regardless of difficulty, because the e-bikes are doing most of the work so it should be more of a breeze rather than heavy excerise. Definitely recommend doing it. It was a pleasent and relaxing experience.
Cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Amazing. I contacted them prior to flying out to Crete after being recommended them by another rental company who couldn't accommodate me, and I'm so glad I ended up with Tour Point. In the month leading up to my holiday I was in contact with Apostolis on Whatsapp where he sent me details of potential routes I could ride and local information for riding which was invaluable. On arrival I went to collect the bike which was a brand new Scott Addict. I sit between a 54cm and a 56cm (Medium and Large) and had opted for the 56cm that I ride at home and hadn't accounted for the fact the aero seat posts on modern bikes only go so far down so the bike was just a tiny bit too tall for me. Apostolis was genuinely gutted for me as all the 54cm were booked out. As the ride I had planned for the day after was mainly climbing it wasn't a major issue as I'd be out of the saddle for the majority. I rode the bike the day after and by the time I was back (0930hrs) the following day Apostolis had already been in touch to say he'd sorted me a 54cm through another friend as he had none and would deliver it to me to swap over which is what we did at no extra cost. The service and commitment from Apostolis was second to none. He is clearly very passionate about what he does and proud of the wonder that his local area offers. The routes he suggested were stunning and challenging, and he also offered great local information about where to visit and eat etc off the beaten track to immerse yourself with the local people if that was something you wanted to do. I rode early in the morning just to avoid some of the heat, not long after sunrise and it was spectacular. Use this guy.....you won't be disappointed. Thanks Tour Point for some wonderful riding.

Absolutely fantastic bike rental experience! Everything was easy and straightforward, with great communication from start to finish. The owner was incredibly helpful, friendly, and accommodating, even though our request was made at the last minute. He also created a Strava route for us and gave us several great recommendations for roads and places to ride, which made the experience even better. You could really tell that he wanted us to have a great time and get the most out of our cycling experience in Crete. I would highly recommend renting a bike from here to anyone visiting Crete. Great service, great bikes, and an even better experience!
