A few words about the Villages.
Platanias is a village situated 15 km west of Chania town and one of the largest tourist resorts in Crete. The village owns its name to the many plane trees scattered along the shore of the river Platanias.
Vatolakkos is a village and seat of the homonymous community of the municipality of Platania in the regional unit of Chania, Crete. It belonged to Kydonia Province. It is 15 kilometers from Chania and is built at an altitude of 100 m. in the Keritis river valley, and surrounded by orange groves.
Located just 10 kilometers west of Chania, in the small village of Agia, Agia Lake is a popular spot for birdwatching. Despite its small size, the lake hosts over 200 species of migratory and native birds, insects such as dragonflies, as well as rare species of amphibians and ferns, and as such it has earned its inclusion in the Natura 2000 network.
The lake of Agia was created in 1928 as part of a hydroelectric power plant. However, the plant was eventually abandoned, allowing the lake to develop into one of the most ecologically significant wetlands in Crete.

Wonderful service! I was desperate to find a bike to rent on a short notice while in Chania, and I was able to reach out to the owner who promptly helped me in finding the best available solution, which was delivered in Chania's city centre in less than one hour and allowed me to experience (some of) the beauties of Crete! The owner, Apostolis, also gave me some great tips in terms of route and stops. Super recommended!

A lovely relaxing tour through great scenery, with a local stop off for Greek coffee and food. The tour guide was very personable and knowledgeable and my wife and I really enjoyed the experience. I would recommend booking!!! The guide also provided a fantastic restaurant suggestion too.
We had a great experience renting four E-MTB bikes from Tour-Point today! They were in great condition and the price was very reasonable! We opted to go on our own without a guide but Tour-Point provided us with a very scenic 30 Mile (50km) route up into the mountain area. The views were spectacular! We would never have managed such a long and hilly tour in this heat without the great E-MTB bikes that made it very enjoyable. I would highly recommend Tour-Point for your e-bike rental and tours. Thanks for a great experience seeing a side of Crete that many people miss.

Apos dropped off the bike at our villa, made sure I had everything I needed, and then texted me a recommended 40-50 km route each day based on how far I wanted to ride and what I was interested in. Snel geregeld, erg leuke tocht gemaakt. We huurden 2 e-bikes voor een dag. Ze werden de dag ervoor aan ons hotel geleverd. Appo gaf tips mee voor een leuke tocht en zette een route op onze gsm, met tips om iets te gaan eten enzo. Erg leuk! Een aanrader om Kreta op een andere manier te verkennen!
